Welcome

• MAP Security & Active Shooter Training originated in 2017 and has trained over 100 churches throughout Mid-Michigan. MAP is taught by Attorney/Police Officer/Paramedic Kellie Brandt and six additional local and federal veteran police officers. 
• The seminar is four hours on Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. 
• The first two hours consists of lecture explaining applicable statutes, the MAP program, emergency medicine response, surveillance systems, and risk assessment. 
• The remaining two hours consists of practical exercises with our police officers as the trainers.

The class is not only for security personnel. It is for EVERYONE who attends a church. The greeters at the door often are the first people who will encounter a threat, therefore they need to be trained on what to look for and how to respond. Similarly, all staff, volunteers and members of the church need to be on the same page if an incident occurs.
